Bok Gardens, Carillon and Home

A carillon is a tower with bells in it. They had concerts every half hour that played Christmas music. Al and I toured the gardens and the home of Mr. Bok, the 1st editor of the Ladies Home Journal. The home was very beautiful.

My uncle and aunt visit

My aunt and uncle stayed a couple of days with us at the end of their cruise. We had a great time - a picnic on the beach at sunset, a cruise around the bay, dinner on the patio - all of this at the beginning of December!

Fishing in Florida

Al and the girls have a tried a new fishing style. The throw a net out and see what they get. That day we caught 3 large Tilapia. Good eating.....

Boating on the Bay

We have rented a pontoon boat twice from the base marina and tooled around the bay. There is an island out in the middle that we stopped and explored for a half an hour. The shores were just loaded with shells of all shapes and sizes as well as a couple of kinds of star fish. We boated to the other side of the bay and ate at a restaurant. You just dock the boat and walk up to it. The girls did put their bodies into the water, but never let go of the boat. Facing the ocean close up makes you realize how small you are in comparison to the world.
